| Uncle Joe Adamson Named to eBay's 2008 Community Hall of Fame |
"Uncle Joe" Adamson was recognized for his significant contributions to the eBay Community during the keynote presentation at the eBay Live convention in Chicago, IL. CEO John Donahoe and President of Global Marketplaces Lorrie Norrington made the presentation before an audience of several thousand, as well as a global audience watching via webcast. The two executives praised his efforts at educating other members and through his contributions to eBay through the Voices of the Community program. Uncle Joe was presented with an award and a $2500 donation from the eBay Foundation to his choice of charitable organization, the Skyline Urban Ministry. Skyline Urban Ministry operates a food pantry, clothes closet, free eyeglass clinic and other programs meant to support and enrich the lives of children and adults who require assistance. |
